As avid instagram followers are already aware I was recently invited to Zurich and had a lovely time just after the madness of Fashion Week. Dinner at the Storchen in Zurich English Review

I travelled from Heathrow and an hour later I found myself in Zurich. I took a train from Flughafen Zurich to Central Platz.

On my first evening after Skyping the parentals and scoping out my hotel room at the Hotel Du Theatre (seriously such a great and central location I took a train straight from the airport and three stops laters I was there) I used the Make My Switzerland App to find myself a restaurant.

It turns out there were several by the river and I ended up at the Storchen (The Stork to us Brits). Ofcourse I’m the kind of person to accidentally pick an expensive restaurant but the food, view and service were well worth it.

I wasn’t feeling to hungry so I just ordered the Tomato Rosemary Risotto; which sounded like a simple and safe option but I have to tell you it was mind-blowingly good- like I’m currently craving it as I type this. I just loved it definitely hands down the best risotto I have had so far including ones I have cooked myself.

The chef had a few surprises for my fellow diners and I.

I was bought this caviar appetiser but as a vegetarian I couldn’t eat it so they bought me something else.

Grilled Mediterranean Vegtables and Balsamic Vinegar.

The best risotto ever – Tomato and Rosemary Risotto

Some after dinner treats – I refused dessert as I was too full but clearly the staff don’t take no for an answer – My taste buds were happy my waistline not so lol.
