I had a consultation with Award Winning Afro-Hair Specialist Wayne Campbell who was my stylist- consultations at Errol Douglas are free and encouraged so both you and your stylist have a clear vision and direction for your sassy new look, we talked through my wants and needs and had a look through my hairstyle inspiration Pinterest board. Wayne was so lovely to talk to and listened intently to what I wanted which was fuss-free hair that would take me from glam (hello fashion month is nearly upon us) to gym easily and he did just that. I am not really a girly girl and being in my final year means that hair that doesn’t work or prevents me from leading an crazy active lifestyle is a no go for me.

Service:My hair was washed, conditioned and then KeraCare leave in conditioner and silk seal were used and the my hair was blow dried then Wayne cainrowed it with some extensions to help strengthen them, added a net and then put the weave in. My extensions were then cut to frame my face and voila two and a half hours later I was done. See my below, during and after pictures below:

I just love how my hair looks and the compliments won’t stop rolling in.

Top Tips from Wayne Shorter Campbell:

  • Wash your weave weekly and dry your hair under a hood dryer
  • A daily pump of Moroccan Oil Serum daily is good for your hair and your extensions (I love a multi-tasking serum)
  • When washing your extentions brush shampoo through the hair and rinse out similary do not rub
  • KeraCare leave in conditioner and silk seal are great for protecting your hair when using heat
  • Brush your extensions daily to prevent matting and unneccesary knots.

The Errol Douglas Salon is set on two floors, is well laid out and has a great vibe it also has an inhouse  chef who can also accommodate your needs I had very tasty customised cheese and rocket toastie on granary bread but for those of you who eat meat the Errol Douglas signature sandwich had staff and friends who have been to the salon waxing lyrical about it, it has chicken breast, avocado, tomato, red onion and sliced olives with lemon mayonnaise served on granary bread.
